Young Scholar Initiative
Saint Catherine’s Vision's Young Scholar Initiative showcases the work of one or two dedicated Orthodox Christians each year who are striving toward the “building up of the body of Christ.”
Presbytera Athanasia Mellos Kostakis, M.Div., MSW, a student at Boston University’s School of Theology is our first Young Scholar. She is currently conducting research for her Doctor of Ministry project thesis, which is a confidential study on Orthodox Lay Ministry.
She was first highlighted at our Divine Compassion and Women of the Church: Theological Perspectives conference in June 2014 and was enthusiastically received by conference participants. Presbytera Athanasia is seeking to interview Orthodox Christians in Lay Ministry. These interviews will be conducted through March 2016. Please click here to view the flyer for more information and eligibility. Contact Presbytera Athanasia directly at email@example.com if you are interested in participating and/or have questions about participating including eligibility.

"Let us praise Catherine the radiant bride of Christ, guardian of Sinai, our helper and supporter. By the power of the Spirit, she silenced the arrogance of the ungodly. Crowned as a martyr, she now implores great mercy for all."
